CAA Medical Certification
Dr Dodwell resigned from his role as a CAA Designated Medical Examiner (grade 1)with effect from 12th August 2004. This related to issues with the certification system and CAA culture of the time.
Ceasing this role allowed him to focus on more specialised aspects of his general occupational medicine practice, as well as his work as Aeromedical Adviser for the NZ Air Line Pilots Association, NZ ALPA.
He remains available for consultation as New Zealand's most experienced practitioner of Civil Aviation Regulatory Medicine.
